Safety & Security
A healthy, safe and supportive learning environment enables students, staff and the school as a system to function more effectively. To ensure safety and security our school has the following mechanisms in place.
- Thoughtful and constant vigil of the security and safety of all the facilities available.
- Creation of clear policies and procedures for staff and students conduct. (The school has committees for POCSO, Internal Safety, Discipline Committee which work to achieve frequent and effective checks).
- Attention to Classroom Management, as well as requisite professional development.
- Entry/Exit of all visitors is logged clearly with In and Out timings and Visitor Pass is issued.
- An Electronic Record of staff reporting is maintained, along with a facial recognition mechanism, which ensures no transmission of germs through biometric.
- An SMS is directly sent to the parent as and when a child is absent.
- To ensure a safe campus, metal detectors are used during functions and the staff is trained to operate them.
- Access to areas like parking bays, sports field/rooms, toilets is confined to persons whose presence in the area is required, and therefore have specifically authorized access to these areas.
The school is under CCTV Surveillance 24 X 7 X 365. There are more than 300 cameras and each corner of the school is kept under constant surveillance.
There is Central Monitoring Room where there is staff stationed on rotation duty.
The following areas of the School Building are installed with cameras:
- All corridors and staircases
- Sports room, Computer Labs, Dance and Music Rooms
- Entrance to Classrooms
- Sports Fields
- Bus Parking bays
- Entry and Exit point of School Premises
- Library etc.
The school has a fully equipped Medical room with a full- time doctor and a medical staff . An ambulance is also stationed within the school premises and the contact numbers of nearby hospital are prominently displayed.
A safety exit plan in case of eventuality has been prepared by the school and is visibly displayed on each floor of the building. Comprehensive circulars relating to the new safety norms are sent to the parents to keep them informed of the new developments taking place and also seek their suggestions on the same.
The school has an active Disaster Management Cell. Hooters are used to signal any emergency. The staff and the students are trained to respond promptly in case of emergencies through the conduction of regular evacuation drills. During this drill , staff and students practice clearing hallways and stopping all activity and noise in the building. The school is equipped with a Public Address System to make emergency announcements. Further, the school has equipped with a fire hydrant system. Every area has a Fire Extinguisher and the staff has been trained in the use of the same. Fire alarms are placed at strategic points.
