Primary Activities
“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we will not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”
we celebrated “World Food Day” in the classrooms today.
The theme highlighted the importance of being prepared for food safety incidents, which can be caused by a number of factors, including accidents, natural events, food fraud, and inadequate controls. The day also serves as a reminder that food safety is a shared responsibility and everyone plays an important role in the same.
In accordance with this year’s World food day theme- “Grow, Nourish, Sustain & grow Together” students were involved in poster making activity and discussion on the benefits of healthy and balanced diet.
This World Food Day highlights how everyone, everywhere, should have access to varied, nutritious, affordable, safe and sustainable food.

Activity – Fraction House
Grade – FY5
In Grade FY5, students explored fractions by creating “Fraction Houses” using origami sheets. They folded the sheets into different equal parts, such as halves, thirds, and quarters, to represent fractions visually. Each part of the house symbolized a fraction, helping them understand how a whole can be divided into smaller, equal sections. This hands-on activity made learning fractions fun and interactive. By folding and comparing the parts, students could better grasp the concept of fractions and how they are used in everyday life. The activity also encouraged creativity and fine motor skills development.
Students of Grade 1-5 honored the bravery of our soldiers on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas who defended our nation during the Kargil War. Their courage and sacrifice teach us the values of patriotism, resilience, and unity. Therefore a PPT was shown followed by a Quiz session. Students remembered and respected their heroic deeds. It was truly an insightful session.
SRGS organized Junior Leaders Summit, where in young visionaries were engaged in dynamic discussions and activities like team-building games, a treasure hunt, and extempore speeches etc. “Leadership is not about being in charge, but about taking care of those in your charge,” one participant quoted, inspiring others. The event emphasized skills and values, fostering collaboration and empowering tomorrow’s leaders with confidence. It was indeed a fruitful day.
