Helen O’ Grady

The Academy offers personal development programmes for children, adolescents, and adults, furthering the following aspects:

  • Enthusiasm and Optimism
  • Ongoing Confidence
  • Self-Esteem
  • Verbal Communication Skills
  • Effective Social Interaction

Our talented musicians recently delighted family, friends and teachers with a range of seasonal concerts. Our Secondary School recital saw students, including the Jazz Band and High School Singers, perform various Christmas numbers to a full theatre, including ‘Silent Night’, ‘Here comes Santa Claus’ and a very jazzy ‘Jingle Bells’. Wearing festive costumes for an extravaganza of performances, a second concert of ‘Holiday Pops’ saw musicians from across the school don reindeer antlers, elf hats and tinsel!

“The Helen O’Grady Speech And Drama Classes Have Been The Best Investment I Have Made For My Son Arya’s Future. It’s Not As If Arya Was Interested In Theatre. He Was A Very Shy And Introverted Child And We Want Him To Come Out And Be Very Expressive About Everything. This Programme Has Succeeded In Bringing Out Arya’s Feelings By Allowing Him To Articulate Through The Medium Of Theatre. It Has Allowed Him To Think On The Spot, Improvise On The Spot, Scream, Shout, And Laugh And Cry Depending Upon The Situation. When Someone Does This Consistently, It Liberates Him From Inhibitions And That’s The Transformation That Has Come Over Arya. He Now Finds Public Speaking Interesting And Is [Participating In Debates At School And Winning Prizes

Academic Year Programme: In Curriculum

We visit a school for a full term and conduct the programme during school hours, as part of the school curriculum. Such classes can be Kindy Drama (3-5 years), Lower Primary (5-8 years), (Upper Primary 9-12 years), and Youth Theatre (13-18 years). Our academic year long programme includes several displays of presentations, parents’ day mid- term, and a short scripted production at the end of the school year.

We conduct our yearly programme (as described above) on school premises directly after school hours for students attending the school, and also for students from the neighborhood. The classes can be conducted once or twice in a week. We cater separately to Kindy Drama, Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Youth Theatre classes. We are able to accommodate 20-25 students per class.
